Research, Development and Manufacturing facility for a pharmaceutical company in Santa Monica, CA. This building includes many interesting uses of BRBs including exterior exposed BRBs with galvanized and painted finishes, pinned connections, welded connections, and, in what was a first for CoreBrace, some of the BRBs use a pinned connection at one end and welded connection at the other end. The use of a pinned connection at the exposed end met the architectural intent, while a welded connection at the concealed end alleviated the erection challenges often associated with connections that are pinned at both ends.
