David + Lucile Packard Foundation

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is a Net Zero Energy Building with a LEED Platinum certification. The structural design utilized post-tensioned, self-centering steel rocking braced frames with BRBs as energy dissipating elements to meet the projects performance-based objectives. 95% of the waste from the construction was successfully recycled or salvaged, earning the project maximum LEED points. With its technological and structural features, including 28 CoreBraces, the building has a beautiful, functional design that benefits the environment and the employees.
