Kaiapoi, New Zealand
The North Canterbury town of Kaiapoi was one of the worst affected areas of the 2010/2011 Christchurch Earthquakes. The badly damaged library was demolished following the earthquakes and replaced with a 2-story enhanced facility including a library, service center, museum, art gallery and meeting rooms. The internal seismic braces were intentionally left exposed to allow people to see its structure.
