The Sunnyvale Civic Center phase I is one of a kind municipal building housing the Sunnyvale’s City Hall, including 4 stories and 120,000 square feet, 8 conference rooms for community use, a 200 seat City Council Chambers, and 87 underground parking spaces, and a 1600 square foot gym for employees.  It has a Net Zero Energy performance and LEED Platinum Certification. The building utilizes 64 Bolted CoreBraces and has a better-than-code seismic performance.

As part of the Net Zero energy performance, the building includes 1,653 solar panels that generate 1,099,000 kwh of power annually and 11 EV charging stations in the underground parking spaces.
