UC Berkley Computational Research & Theory (CRT) Facility houses the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center. The 140,000 square foot facility contains 81 BRBs that are architecturally exposed to view. In 1997, UC Berkeley commissioned a new seismic review of its buildings in response to significant advancements in structural engineering that followed several major seismic events in California. CoreBrace is proud to have been a part of the seismic safety project on the UC Berkley campus buildings using our Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs).
